Arrival in the Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu With the views of snow-capped mountain peaks sprawling down below you are almost delighted, beginning a whole chain of memorable experiences that stay with you for a long, long time.we will be greeted by a representative from Create Himalaya Adventure who will drop you off at the hotel. After checking in, you take a rest or visit Create Himalaya Adventure’s office. In the evening, there will be a welcome dinner hosted by Create Himalaya Adventure, you will be briefed about your daily activities.

We have reserved two full days for Amadablam Expedition preparation and for paper works, on this free day one can join in our optional tour around Kathmandu Durbar Square, Monkey Temple, Pashupatinath and Bauddhanath full of interest within World Heritage Sites, rest of the day last day shopping for the adventure to Amadablam.

Morning depart from the hotel for fabulous Everest Base Camp taking a short scenic flight of 30 mins with sweeping panorama of high peaks including Mt. Everest, as the small aircraft lands at Lukla of above 2,810 m high, from here walk towards Phakding on gradual downhill trail with short ups with views of Kwangde and Kusum-Kanguru peaks as the walk leads through Choplung and Ghat Sherpa villages to reach our Phakding village, located above Dudh Kosi River here with time for a short hike around this lovely village to witness Sherpa cultures with overnight.

After a pleasant night stop with the sound of river, morning walk leads following the Dudh Kosi River upstream and crossing suspension bridges to reach at Monjo village with grand views of Kwangde and Thamserku peaks, from here into Sagarmatha National park (Sagarmatha Nepalese name for Mt. Everest, while Sherpa calls Chomolungma in both languages means 'Great Mother'). Walk proceed towards Jorsalle village and into river valley covered within rhododendron-pines-oaks and fir trees as the route leads uphill for few hours to reach famous Namche Bazaar, where colorful and busy Saturday market is held weekly.

An important rest day for proper acclimatization before heading higher elevation, at Namche one can take a short walk to Everest View Hotel of few hours walk uphill or visit the park museum located on top of Namche Bazaar offers grand views of Mt. Everest- Lhotse- Amadablam and other series of snow capped peaks.Visit its interesting museum full of information regarding Sherpa people, culture with flora/fauna and as well of mountaineering history, rest of the afternoon free at leisure with views of mountains.

With marvelous stop at Namche Bazar, morning with short steep climb and then on pleasant winding trail into alpine woodland with super views of Mt. Everest- Lhotse- Nuptse- Amadablam with other smaller peaks, as the walk continues heading downhill at Phunki-Tenga, a small place by the Imjatse River for lunch.After lunch with few hours climb into serene alpine forest filled with rhododendron-oaks-magnolia-pines-juniper and fir tree lines with constant view of peaks, finally walk leads on a small plateau at Tengboche Monastery the highest spot of the trek at 3,867 m high offering mind blowing views of Mt. Everest- Amadablam and arrays of peaks that surrounds this lovely spot. Here with time to visit it's interesting and famous Buddhist monastery, where in October a great festival Mani Rimdu is held and as well mountaineers takes blessing from the priest for safe and successful climbs.

From Tengboche after catching morning glorious panorama of mountains and then heading downhill through serene woodland reaching at a metal bridge over Imjatse River, from here with uphill walk to Pangboche, the last permanent Sherpa farm village around Khumbu and Everest region. Pangboche located within beautiful spot on route Amadablam and Everest base camp, here with afternoon free for short hike around and visit the old monastery situated on upper Pangboche village with fabulous views.

From Pangboche village downhill toward Imjatse River to cross a small wooden bridge, after leaving the river behind climb leads to steep uphill for an hour reaching a large meadow with couple of Yak herders huts. After a pleasant stop with views walk leads on gradual up to Amadablam base camp. The camp is set on large wide field beneath majestic Mt. Amadablam.

A rest day at base camp preparation for the climb where one hike to advance camp with views of beautiful landscapes and mountains during the high walk, afternoon relax and with final setting for next day adventure.

We have allocated and reserved maximum of two weeks for the summit bid from base camp, during this days with some days busy dividing loads and checking equipment for the final ascent.It is hard to predict exact days for the summit top however from Base Camp climb follows on old grassy moraine ridges eastwards to a broad saddle from one can see a Mingbo-La. From the saddle turn north and climb up rocky ground and finally through boulders to the ridge below Pt.5, 705 which is the site of camp I. There are four or five tents platforms with Camp I Climbing the ridge involves rock climbing of severe standard with steps of VS (USA 5.6) Camp II is at the top yellow tower, which gives one of the hardest pitches on the climb at VS/Hard VS (5.8).From Camp II: Move into the ramp (some stone fall danger) and climb to an amphitheater. Continue up a broad gully on between the gray tower and the lower rock buttress and climb a snow slope to ' Santa's Grotto' at the start of Mushroom ridge.Climb on snow and Ice slope following mix section to the top of the highest hanging glacier. An ice crest leads to a magnificent position to the summit top.From the summit with grand vista after a memorable to and classic climb descend back to base camp using Advance camp on route.

After great tough days on climb to the summit and feeling at ease on reaching base camp with overnights, today start cleaning garbage and packing gears as Nepal Himalaya has thousands of trekkers and climbing peaks every year. As a result, piles of unwanted trash and rubbish exist, We help and support in reducing pollution around as we do have responsibility towards Mother Nature. So clean up the base camp which will be a help reducing the impacts of global warming, then pack up necessary stuff and prepare for return journey.

From here onward on long downhill with few climbs as the trail leads towards Pangboche village and then to a bridge, after the bridge back into greens with trees as the route climbs up to Tengboche Monastery.

After a great time on top Amadablam with excellent views from Thengbovhe, morning walk on downhill to Phunki Tenga, then crossing a wooden bridge with climb uphill to Lobesa and Sanasa small villages with gradual winding path to Kyanjinma.A beautiful spot with few lodges facing Everest Amadablam and Tharmarserku peaks, here chance of spotting some wild life like Thar, Musk deer and the colorful Danphe (Impeyan pheasant and national bird of Nepal). After a wonderful time at this scenic quiet spot within serene alpine woodland walk descends towards Namche Bazaar, here having a short rest and then continue walk downhill towards Monjo for overnight stop.

1. I hadn’t tried the expedition Until date. How fit do I have to for this expedition?

You must maintain a good level of fitness for this expedition. As you must walk for a long time per day in a mountain on irregular terrain and the level of difficulties will increase within the increment of the height of the mountain. But you need not worry, we will guide you with the technique so that you can enjoy throughout the expedition moment.

2. Is this expedition difficult?

This expedition is comparatively hard but it’s ok if your level of physical fitness is good. As you had to walk for 5-8 hours per day in irregular terrain to be in destination. The terrain is rough, uphill and downhill and it is not paved so the terrain is rocky somewhere, so you must be careful if you have a weak ankle and the trail are also filled with the snow depending upon the season. But you need not worry, we will guide with the technique to walk in the terrain and other preventive measures.

3. Is travel insurance needed for an expedition?

Yes, you need travel insurance including mountain climbing. You must assure that your travel insurance policy covers this destination. Some of the insurance companies do not cover expenses above contain altitude. So, it is the most need for the coverage of the expenses.

4. What is the special equipment that I need to take during the expedition?

You must take some of the equipment during the expedition that you can rent from us at an additional cost. This list is a guideline to help you to pack for peak climbing in Nepal and please understand that the items listed below will vary a little according to the season and the climb duration. We will recommend the list of the equipment as per the season to climb peaks in Nepal.

5. Are your Guide is trained and have done this expedition before?

Yes, all our climbing guides are certified guide license holders from the Nepal Mountaineering Association. They had experienced in many ranging from 6,000 to 7,000-meter peak and above 8,000-meter peak too for a few times.

6. What if I am sick during an expedition?

Our guides had a trekking certificate from the Tourism center. They are trained about the first-aid training for high altitude too besides other training and they always carry the essential first-aid kit during trekking trial. So that they can take care of you in the minor case in the mountains as our guide are 24 hours available for the service during trek.

But, in the case of an emergency, our Guide carries the local sim card to be in contact with the office in Kathmandu. Our guide keeps on updating the situation of the Client, then the office will be managed to send the Helicopter in the trail if the client is seriously sick in the mountain.

At first, you must fill-up the form with your personal detail and trip detail with the date you preferred to start the expedition, then you must send the 30% advance trip payment to our company in our bank account to secure your booking. But, if you cancel the trip then a 10% advance trip payment will be non-refundable and 20% will be refunded on your account.

On receiving your 30% advance trip payment and following personal document like a passport with scanned or photocopy, along with booking forms, then we will send you a full confirmation letter with the deposit as well as receipt of advance trip payment.

You can deposit advance trip payment through the bank account or Visa card, Master Card. And you can clear the remaining payment after you arrive in Kathmandu, Create Himalaya Office.

Trip Introduction

The Ama Dablam Expedition is normally undertaken from the southwest ridge of Nepal. Many Himalayan mountaineers start their high altitude climbing experience on Ama Dablam which is at an altitude of 6812m. Mountaineers usually have to pitch 3 high camps on the high mountains. To reach the first camp from base camp, climbers have to pass the toughest and most difficult part on the saddle ridges. Turning to the north, the climb is up through a rocky landscape. Ama Dablam is considered as one of the most technical and challenging climbs, with difficult ice, rocks, and steep snow on the route.
