When is the Best season for trekking in the Annapurna Region?

Winter

December to February are the coldest months to trek, with the shortest days and the fewest people. There is often a lot of snow on the ground, especially above, Ghorepani, Sinuwa, and getting to Destination can sometimes be very difficult or impossible.

Spring

March, April, and May are some of the busier months and for good reason. The days are getting warmer, the weather is mostly stable and the climbing season is in full swing. It really is an amazing sight from  Ghorepani Poon Hill, Ghandruk Village. In the lower valleys, the flowers are blooming on the Rhododendrons and the terraced fields turn green with new shoots of vegetables.

Summer

From June to August the summer monsoons bring rain and snow. There are fewer visitors during these months, although some of the most beautiful, warm, blue-sky days occur now. Usually, by the afternoon, there is a rainstorm or snow higher up.

Autumn

This is the most popular time to visit the Annapurna Area. September through November is a time of steady weather patterns, less precipitation, and cleaner air. The lodges are full and everyone is friendly. If you enjoy meeting new friends, want the best chance for great weather and don’t mind an empty, this is the best trekking season.

"Amazing Trekking Experience"

I have been on a 12 day trek to Annapurna Base camp with Ram as our guide. The trip was amazing! Ram took care of everything: food, accommodation, great guiding through the beautiful landscape and teaching us Nepalese phrases and songs. He is a very professional and sympathetic guide, and I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who wants to do trekking in Nepal!

A few years ago I went on the Annapurna base camp trek together with five friends. We had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know Ram because he was our guide for 10 days. Ram is so dedicated and told us a lot about Nepal, the nature and the nepalese culture. We had an amazing trip and I would definitely recommend Ram and his company to everybody if you wanna go trekking in Nepal. Show less

"Unforgotable Moment"

My trek with Ram was the most wonderful trip of my life. Ram was an incredible guide. We had so much fun running across the suspension bridges and charging up massive hills. I do not have a single complaint about my trip. It was perfect. As a solo female trekker, I was a little nervous before my trip. Talking to the Ram, all fears dissolved. I was comfortable, happy, and ready for an adventure. He is respectful and kind. All the Accommodation were perfect. The food was delicious. I miss my morning teas!!
