We begin our day very early after Breakfast at Hotel in Kathmandu. Drive by car/jeep to the Budhanilkantha which is about 20-minute drives from our location than we reach at Shivapuri National park. It is one of the best and close forest from Kathmandu where within a few hours we can see many spices at least about 500 spices, some local village and dense forest. We begin our hike from the south side of national park then the natural wide path lead us to the army Check post we then continue to walk ahead through the forest and we reach to Popular Nagi Gompa(Monastery) located at 2340m. Where people visit and get meditation. The trail is quite steep though after passing check post and gompa but the view of Kathmandu valley will be just stunning and so many green rolling hills surrounded.
We trek through the forest most of the time, therefore, we get to see some wild animals, many colorful birds, Butterflies etc and takes about 4 hours to reach the top of Shivapuri viewpoint. We will have lunch once we reach there at the top then descending to Sundarijal and drive back to Kathmandu by private transport.
